Hello All! Sorry it has been sooo looong since I have updated anything! It has been a very busy Holiday time! Wheew! Now they are over.
Let's see, I did a cookie exchange here at my house the first week of December. It was very short notice for everyone, but I had 6 ladies show up. We had a good time, munched on some appetizers, played a couple of games with prizes and exchanged our goodies. I really enjoyed only having to bake one kind of cookie and then having 7 different kinds to share and entertain with during the holidays. I found a nice website with directions on how to host a cookie exchange. I will put the link on the link page. I knew my daughter and grandkids were coming to visit within the week so I saved all the left-over appetizers to munch on with them.
The following week as I said I had my daughter and the GRANDKIDS here for Christmas! So, with the late Thanksgiving, decorating, gift shopping and wrapping, grocery shopping and cleaning...WOW! Busy like I said. But we had a white Christmas and had a Great time visiting. Santa even came to grandma's house!
So here we are with the New Year. I have cleaned up put away all of the decorations. Oh yeah, forgot to mention I made a neat fake fireplace front for the front of my entertainment center, to use with the fireplace DVD that I got before Halloween. I'll try to post some pictures of that on the pictures page.
Now I am trying to quit smoking.......arrrggghhhh!!!!! And I am starting a new lifestyle change, a new way of eating. It is called Calorie Restriction for Optimal Nutrition. CRON for short. It is based on the research of Dr. Roy Walford who was in Biosphere 2 for 2 years. I would like to lose some weight, but the main reason is to extend my life span. I'll keep you posted.
Also today I found a very cool website on dehydrating and am very excited to bring out my dehydrator and put it to use! I'll post some links for this also.
As for the hydroponics, all was going well until the cat decided that she really liked to lay on top of the plants, broke all of the stems and well now I have to start all over.
I would like some feed back on my website, like how many of you are using the Freebie links. If no one is using that section I may eliminate it. That section does take a lot of work. But, if there is a need I will definitely keep it going.
Anyway, I hope that everyone had a Wonderful Holiday season and that you have a healthy and Happy New Year!

Hey ya'll !
Sorry it has been so long since I have gotten a chance to update anything! It's been busy here. You know I am amazed at how much time deer hunting takes away from me....especially when I don't even deer hunt! Now that that is all over with finally, I can spend this week getting ready for yummy Turkey day! Thanksgiving!
I will try to posting some updates to this site with some freebies and stuff. I am also trying to work on formatting a newsletter! I have a couple of new recipes that we have tried over the past couple of weeks that I would like to put in there. I will be putting stuff in the newsletter that will not be put on the website. So remember to look for the update where you can join the newsletter for a reasonable fee.
Any way, I hope everyone has a fulfilling Thanksgiving! Don't eat too much!
I am thankful for my home and family and people to spend the day with, for being alive and free, for being able to afford to fix dinner for everyone and the money to hopefully go shopping on BLACK FRIDAY!

Hello All! Sorry it's been awhile! I have been busy with Halloween and such. I will be posting some new pictures and trying to update the freebies section and work on the Holistic section later this week. My new venture is trying to learn how to grow vegetables using hydroponics! I am excited about that! I will post updates to the gardening section as things progress.

Sorry for not updating sooner.
It's has been a busy week again! I have spent alot of time this week getting ready for Halloween and trying to finalize our costume plans.
I think I will be dressing up as a witch at home to pass out candy and then if we do go out, we will be going as a glow man and woman.
If you haven't seen these yet you should definitely check them out! Look up Glowman costumes online. You just need a black outfit and some glow sticks. I got my glow sticks at the dollar store, they had 5 packs of bracelets, 2 packs of necklaces, some packs for hats and swords, wands etc. I am very excited about that.
I also spent some time shopping the thrift stores and found a couple of nice brass candelabras that I spray painted black and added red candle sticks. Also a variety of jars that I added some cool Halloween labels to, which I also got from the dollar store and the Halloween store.
